DETAILS

A: Safe family matching

Unlike other job matching sites, our clients have to pass a screening test that involves certain requirements such as financial stability and their passion towards their children’s education in order to use our service.

Therefore, you can be rest assured as our family matching service is safe. Also, our service is catered to children aged 4 to 9 years old, so you do not have to change diapers or provide milk. Our service is NOT a babysitter service so you can work in a stress-free environment as you do not have to worry about not being to communicate with the children or the children falling sick suddenly (something that happens frequently in babies).

You will have the freedom to choose if you want to apply for the job or not and before officially starting the sitting sessions with the family, we will have online interviews and a trial service so you will have the final say in deciding.

B: Flexible and stress-free working environment

We will accommodate to your schedule so that you will be able to work flexibly. We have a system in which we have back-up sitters for each family, so even if you have to rest due to exams, travelling abroad, etc, we will be able to ask the back-up sitters to help.

The duration of a single sitting service is usually 2 hours. There might be clients who request to have a sitting session of more than 2 hours but it is up to you whether you would like to accept or reject the offer.

You will also have the freedom to choose if you want to look after a family closer to your house, university, etc. Also, you might be requested to pick up the children from their school and drop them off at tuition centers. During this, the time spent to commute from the designated place to the place of drop-off will be counted as part of your part-time job so please do not worry.

C: Support in English

We usually offer our E sitter services in English, or another language that is not Japanese. Therefore, we do not have any pre-requisites regarding Japanese proficiency. In fact, there are many families which ban the use of Japanese during the sitting session.

Our staff members are able to communicate in English and we usually send the details of your job in English. Also, if there are any problems or things that you are unsure of, you can always reach out to us in English. For example, if the client is being unreasonable and / or problematic, please do not hesitate to let us know.

We will adhere to the legal rules such as working conditions stated by the government and we provide support in legal documents that need to be submitted. Our service is not illegal so please do not worry. Also, we have liability insurance for our sitters, so in case an accident occurs, we will be able to provide proper support.

D: Curriculum

Even if you have no prior experience working in Japan, please do not worry! For new sitters, before you visit the family for your sitting service, we will explain the rules and show you a manual video for better understanding.

Regarding the contents of the sitting service, we will decide by taking the child / children’s age into consideration and by talking with the family via the online interview and trial lessons. As for the activities, sitters are not limited to activities just within the house (which include activities such as cooking, playing musical instruments together), but are able to play outside of the house, such as at the park. Sitters are also able to accompany the child / children outside, by going to museums and libraries, shopping, and even events together. The important thing is to have fun with the child / children and to introduce your country’s culture to him/her/them.

We ask you to think and adapt flexibly about what activities you would like to do within the allotted time. Also, we provide English textbooks to the families which you can use. Therefore, please think of the balance between learning and playing and use the time efficiently.

E: Regarding salary and transportation fees

The salary would be 2,000 yen~3,000 yen per hour, and it changes according to the clients’ plan and the number of children. There is a slight difference between main and sub sitters as well. Also, we are not a “babysitting service”, so please do note that the skills required will be different.

We also pay for your transportation fees and other fees that were spent when you were out with the child / children.

F: Diversity

We value diversity and unlike other English services, actively take in students from not only native countries, but from ASEAN countries as well. We have students from all over the world, such as UK, Europe, and Asian countries such as the Philippines, Mongolia, Singapore, and so on.
