Support for school and extracurricular assignments, pick-up/drop-off services, programming and STEAM education, and learning music (instruments like piano or violin), art, and sports in English are available.
Activities like playing soccer or badminton together, cooking international cuisine together, going on excursions (accompanying to museums/aquariums/amusement parks, shopping, or campus tours), or simply playing outside while the customer is in a remote meeting are possible due to individual customization.
Ideal for those starting English education, families planning overseas assignments, relocations, or studying abroad, and for supplementary lessons for international schools. It can also be utilized as tutoring for entrance exams and test preparation.
You can change courses on a monthly basis. Ending or pausing usage can also be requested monthly

　E-Sitter is a fully customized individual service, but we recommend using the first 30 minutes of the session to conduct exercises that enhance your child's global education and English skills.
The following is a recommended program content for younger children who are new to learning English. In practice, the tutor will create a program tailored to your child's English proficiency and age, in consultation with the office and considering your child's behavior and your requests.
This program not only aims to improve English skills but also fosters 'thinking skills' such as 'logical thinking,' 'problem-solving,' and 'inquiry skills.'

Speaking Practice : Repetition helps initiate the session, & the 1on1 format reduces resistance to speaking out loud, naturally developing correct speech methods and thinking skills.

A one-time membership fee of 10,000 yen (excluding tax) is required at the start of the service (not required for trials).

A 50% surcharge applies for two children.

Housekeeping, services involving danger (moving heavy items, using vehicles, etc.), and services requiring specialized skills (caregiving, medical acts, etc.) are not available.

　Our Approach to Arranging Native English-Speaking Tutors

　Despite our best efforts to recruit highly skilled tutors, it is challenging to meet the demand for tutors from America, the UK, Canada, and Oceania for the following reasons:

① They must understand that the role differs from Western style sitting, for example where the sitter just lets the child watch TV and puts them to bed when the parents are absent.
② They must possess high academic abilities and not be in Japan for mere play or casual work.
③ They must be motivated by the content and purpose of the job, not just the pay.

　As the value of the yen continues to decline, making it less attractive to work in Japan, it becomes increasingly difficult to secure a large number of tutors from these high-cost, high-income regions who meet our requirements and are unlikely to cause problems.

　Therefore, to continue our mission of providing "genuine global education in living English," we prioritize building a system where students can receive reliable one-on-one tutoring services from outstanding international students. At E-Sitter, we do not insist on providing native English-speaking tutors. We are confident that tutors from other regions possess English skills comparable to, or even better than, Japanese bilinguals. Please check the introduction videos of each tutor to verify their proficiency.

STEP1

Inquiry / Trial Application

Please fill out the necessary information on the application form and submit it.
Our office will contact you by email or phone in Japanese within 24 hours.
Based on the phone/email content, we will introduce a tutor to you.

STEP2

Online Preliminary Meeting

A 10-minute preliminary online meeting will be held for self-introductions between the client, the child, the tutor, and the staff.
This helps to ensure a smooth start to the 'Trial' by familiarizing each other beforehand. It also allows us to customize the program to meet your needs and address any questions or special considerations.
If you feel that the tutor is not a good match during this meeting, you can request a change or cancel the service.

STEP3

Trial

Confirm the service content and the compatibility with the tutor.
The trial is paid. (No membership fee is required)
*Cost: 3,900 yen/hour (tutor’s transportation costs are additionally required)
The trial can be requested for a minimum of 60 minutes.

STEP4

Enrollment / Service Start

After the trial, our office will contact you to confirm your intention to apply.
For those who wish to apply, we will provide further details about the desired plan, start date, membership fee, and the payment method for the first month's service fees.
After submitting the enrollment application form and confirming the payment, the E-sitter service will commence.

【 Safety Measures 】

To ensure peace of mind for both children and parents, we carefully screen our tutors under strict criteria.
Additionally, you can monitor the session in real time using your smartphone to check the status from outside.

Verification of Public Documents

We thoroughly verify public documents such as student ID, passport, and driver's license.
We also register our sitters with the ward office (Notification of Unlicensed Childcare Facility).

Face-to-Face Screening

Before hiring, we always conduct face-to-face interviews to ensure the tutor has the qualities and reliability suitable for fostering a child's global mindset. We consider not only academic background but also upbringing and personality to ensure they are well-received by children.

Training

All tutors undergo training to acquire knowledge on essential principles, safety management, and how to interact with children. We conduct regular practical training for tutors to enhance their skills, professionalism, and ensure safety management.

【 Frequently Asked Questions 】

Can I receive the service if I'm with my child, or only my child is with the teacher?

Yes, both are possible. Many families enjoy spending time and learning together with the teacher.ただし3歳以下のお子様については保護者様が同じ空間にいて頂くことを条件にサービスの提供をしています。
Do you provide housekeeping services?

We do not provide housekeeping services. However, we do offer activities such as cooking, baking, and meal assistance as part of our sitter service.
Can the teacher pick up or drop off my child?

Yes, we can pick them up from school or daycare and drop them off at lessons or activities. Please note that service starts from the specified arrival time. If public transportation or a taxi is needed, additional costs will be charged. To avoid any misunderstandings, our office will assist with arrangements beforehand.
Can the service be provided at locations other than my home?

Yes, we can provide service at other locations. Whether it's for the entire sitting period or just a specific time while you're in an online meeting or at a nearby park, we can accommodate your needs.

Can the teacher accompany us to museums, zoos, amusement parks, or shopping?

Yes, that's possible. However, we have rules to prevent extreme requests.

For example, "I have a night pass for Disneyland. Please spend 3.5 hours from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM in the park with my child. Meet us at the entrance at 5:00 PM, and we will meet again there at 8:30 PM."Such requests can lead to excessively long travel times for the teacher, especially if they live far away.

To maintain a healthy working environment for the teachers, Generally, the teacher and child will depart from your home and return together. The service fee is calculated from departure to return time. However, if the location is closer to the teacher's home or of similar distance, meeting at the location and dispersing there is possible upon discussion with the teacher.

Can it be conducted online?

Yes. Until you become accustomed to it, we ask for parental support in assisting with computer or tablet operations. We offer online sessions via Zoom. This option is available not only for those living in areas where tutors cannot visit but also for clients within Tokyo. In addition to our regular programs, we have experience supporting students with supplementary lessons for international schools and preparation for studying abroad at institutions like boarding schools. For online sessions only, requests can be made starting from one hour as there is no travel time for tutors.
Can the tutor attend my child's event in place of a parent?

Yes. If you have an unchangeable commitment and can't accompany your child, the teacher can attend the event instead.
対象年齢外の子もお願いできますか？

3歳以下のお子様については次の2点へのご承諾をお願いしております。
①保護者の方が必ず同じ空間にいて頂くことをお願いしております。
　→ご自宅の場合は他の部屋でもOKですが、買い物に出かけたりなど先生とお子様２人だけになるのはご遠慮頂いております。
　→外でお遊びする場合は、保護者の方も一緒に外に来ていただく事をお願いしております。ただ、一緒に遊んだりしなくても大丈夫ですので、本を読んだりし、ノートPCで仕事をしながらで構いません。
②2人以上の同時対応は出来かねます。
　→どうしても怪我や事故など起こりやすくなりますので、3歳以下のお子様が含まれる2人以上の同時対応はお断りしております事、予めご理解ください。

18歳以上の方については、内容によっては承れない事がございます。一度、ご相談ください。
Can I request a specific teacher? Are the rates the same for all teachers?

If you have a preferred tutor, please note their name in the "Trial Request" or "Inquiry" form. Our office will check if their availability matches your preferred schedule. There are no additional fees for specific requests. However, the rates may differ based on the teacher's experience. Teachers with different rates have an asterisk (*) next to their name in the 'Tutors List'. Please contact us for details.
Are there any membership or annual fees?

There is a membership fee of 10,000 yen upon joining, but no annual fee. The membership fee includes costs for materials and system registration and is non-refundable.
How can I make payments?

Payments can be made via bank transfer or credit card. Both options support online payments.
Bank transfers currently have a 3% discount campaign (transfer fees are the customer's responsibility).
The tutor's transportation costs are billed together with the service fee.
Please do not handle cash transactions with the teacher to avoid potential issues.
What if my child and the teacher are not a good match? Can we change the teacher?

Yes. While we offer preliminary meetings and trial sessions, if you feel the match isn't right after some time, we will introduce another teacher after hearing your concerns.
Can I change my usage plan?

Yes, you can change it monthly. Please contact our office before the invoice is issued for the current month.

【一般会員とは】
　本サービスをご利用頂いている方（入会金をお支払い頂いた方）はスポット利用、Weeklyコース（週１～）問わず一般会員様となります。

【特別会員とは】
　Weeklyコースをご利用のお客様で3ヶ月以上継続し、お客様都合によるお休み・日時の変更無くご利用頂いた場合『特別会員』に自動ランクアップとなります。
特別会員様で、お客様都合によるお休み・日時変更が生じた場合、その翌月から一般会員にランクダウンとなります。
また翌月から3ヶ月お客様都合によるお休み・日時変更無くWeeklyコースをご利用頂けた場合、再度『特別会員』のステータスになります。
　なお、先生の都合によるお休み・日時変更が生じた場合は、この仕組みにおいて影響は受けず権利は続行いたします。
Can I request more than 2 hours of service?

Yes, if the tutor is available, you can request in 30-minute increments.
Can I request less than 2 hours of service?

For monthly plan customers, if the tutor agrees, requests for less than 2 hours can be accommodated. However, if such requests become frequent and burdensome for the tutor, our office may decline future requests.
Can I change the scheduled date and start time?

Yes. For Weekly Plan users, rescheduling is free up to 1 hour before the start time.
【Rescheduling Rules】
・Weekly plan (1x/week): 1 change per month
・Weekly plan (2x/week): 2 changes per month
・Additional changes cost 1,500 yen each
・Free changes must be used within the same month. Unused changes will expire.
・If the teacher cannot accommodate your preferred reschedule date, this does not extend the free change period.
Can I contact the teacher directly?

You can contact the teacher using the special method provided by E-Sitter. Direct contact through other means is prohibited. Violating this policy may result in membership termination and penalties for the teacher.
Can I cancel my reservation?

Confirmed reservations cannot be canceled. Weekly Plan users should use the rescheduling system. However, cancellations may be processed, incurring a cancellation fee (100%)
Can I request a sudden time extension on the day of service?

Extensions are possible if the tutor agrees. Please consult with the teacher as needed.
Can I make a last-minute request for sitting on the same day or the day before?

Yes, if the teacher is available.
Can I take a break from the service during summer or winter holidays?

Yes, please notify our office at least two weeks in advance.
When should I notify you if I want to stop using the service?

For monthly plans, notify the office before the invoice is issued. Membership fees are non-refundable. Prorated refunds are not available for mid-month cancellations.
My child attends an international school. Can you help with homework and supplementary lessons?

Yes, we can assist with elementary-level homework and supplementary lessons in all subjects. Our teachers often have specialized skills that can stimulate intellectual curiosity in children, such as preparing for math or science Olympiads.
Can you teach math and science in English to prepare for an international school?

While we do not offer specialized exam preparation, many of our teachers are from international schools or are native English speakers, capable of teaching these subjects in English. We also have teachers with backgrounds in science and engineering who can support programming and STEAM education.
My child wants to study abroad for soccer. Can you help?

We cannot provide coaching, but we have teachers with soccer experience who can practice with your child in English. E-Sitter teachers often have diverse experience, including music, sports, and more, offering a broad range of extracurricular engagements. Please feel free to consult us for the best match.
